The Great Reef

A Snapchat collaboration with The Great Barrier Reef Foundation, The Great Reef is a world first launch of a new water recognition augmented reality experience, created to bring awareness to the impacts of global warming and drive action. This project project picked up 5 pots at the PR Awards Asia including Best Use of AR. Working with Snap Camera Vision, Strategy and partnerships teams, this new AR tech was created from scratch to help bring this campaign to life. We additionally worked with the Global Marketing team to help localise Snapchat's consumer Open Your Snapchat campaign, creating bespoke artwork for the campaign and developing a local activations to raise awareness of the AR experience. The campaign asked audiences to take a pledge and sign up to a recognised petition to promote to conservation of the great barrier reef. I helped to define the AR experience, the AR UX and creative across all formats from conception through to launch.
